MaxLinear’s cable SoCs accelerate cable network deployment. These DOCSIS SoCs enable high-performance connectivity. They offer networking performance advantages such as RF noise rejection and packet processing flexibility to provide optimal performance and improved quality of service in a variety of use cases including delivery of 1 Gbps service to customers’ homes on existing infrastructure and other WAN and LAN use cases. The Puma™ 6 SoC is a leading DOCSIS 3.0 solution while the Puma™ 7 SoC was one of the first platforms designed for the newer DOCSIS 3.1 solution and offers increased bandwidth.
MaxLinear’s Full-Spectrum Capture® DOCSIS 3.0 and DOCSIS 3.1 Tuners/Demodulators drive cable modems to speeds beyond 5Gbps for customers across the globe. These DOCSIS front-end devices enable cable operators to deploy advanced high-bandwidth networks efficiently by digitizing the entire cable network and pre-processing it intelligently to reduce power while increasing bandwidth. MaxLinear DOCSIS products feature an integrated microcontroller to flexibly control all parts of the system to optimize power consumption. An ultra-low-power battery-backup mode for triple-play voice/video/data cable systems means lower overall system cost.
